Cost coverage by health insurance companies (Germany)

There is the possibility of cost reimbursement. This depends on your insurance.

As a non-medical practitioner, osteopath and member of the German Osteopathic Association, I meet all the requirements for possible cost coverage.

Please contact your health insurance company for more information.

Statutory insurance

Many statutory health insurance companies cover a proportion of the treatment costs. A corresponding medical prescription (e.g. orthopaedist, family doctor, gynaecologist) or recommendation is required. Please check with your health insurance provider in advance. You can find further information at osteokompass.de or under osteopathie-krankenkasse.de/kostenuebernahme.

Private insurance, state aid and private supplementary insurance

Billing is based on the Fee Regulation for Alternative Practitioners (GebüH). If alternative practitioner services are included in your contract, you can expect to be reimbursed. You can find the amount of reimbursement in your insurance contract.

Self-payer

Of course, you can also pay for the treatment yourself without claiming reimbursement from your health insurance company.

Patients who are not reimbursed for osteopathic treatments pay for approx. 50-60 minutes osteopathy 80,- Euro. You pay in cash at the practice and receive a receipt.
